ERA secures growth capital investment from Rockpool

Infrastructure-as-a-service provider ERA has received an investment from private equity firm Rockpool Investments.

The investment will be used to expand ERA’s IaaS offerings and support continued growth.

ERA was a pioneer in providing cloud infrastructure solutions as a service to customers in the post-production, visual effects and broadcast media industries. The company offers virtual desktops, storage as a service, workflow applications, cloud connectivity and archiving solutions, in private and public cloud environments. ERA is based just outside of London with major data centers around London and the South East. International expansion is already underway in India and North America.

Chief Commercial Officer Sean Baker and Chief Financial Officer Mark Weston will continue to lead the company and will be joined by Roger Flynn, who joins the board as non-executive chairman. Roger is a highly experienced private equity chairman with extensive expertise in media and technology.
