Indianapolis-based Schneider Geospatial, a geospatial services provider, has received what it calls a significant growth investment from Align Capital Partners, a private equity firm with offices in Ohio and Texas. Schneider says the deal provides the company with growth capital while preserving his family legacy through continued ownership in the business.
Schneider Geospatial says this is ACP’s second investment in the GovTech platform to date. In 2020, ACP invested in Electronic Transaction Consultants Corp., a Texas-based company specializing in toll road data.
“The company has a very strong value proposition of helping its clients provide public access to digitized documents as a replacement for a historically inefficient and labor-intensive experience,” said Chris Jones, Managing Partner of ACP. “Our enthusiasm for Schneider Geospatial plays on the favorable winds of our firm’s GovTech thesis. The company is well positioned to help governments replace outdated technologies, increase access to important digitized information, and improve information sharing capabilities to improve citizen engagement.
Schneider operates a team of 50 employees that supports its cloud-based software platform, which helps customers manage more than 500 million information requests from more than 23 million users. The company provides web-based GIS data reporting tools, including CAMA and taxation, ownership history, liens and limits, among others.
“We are thrilled to continue our partnership with our incredible customers,” said Jeff Corns, CEO of Schneider Geospatial. “ACP’s investment allows us to accelerate many of our growth initiatives that will result in even better solutions and services for our customers. Our talented team is excited to continue this next phase of company growth.
This investment represents ACP’s 72nd investment since the company was founded in 2016.
